Loved the experience. Went with a friend who adopted a kitten from them. They are promoting adoption and it aligns with my cause/experience. All the animals were kept in separate large rooms. All the kids were well groomed, healthy and ready to be taken to their forever homes. I appreciate them having a very detailed adoption process- specially good if you are going to be pet parent for the first time. They also have amazing merchandise. There are many animal care facilities near the adoption center. The staff is very supportive and polite.
Arf LITERALLY saved my English Bulldog from a potential life threatening bladder condition. I’m so eternally grateful for what they do here. They save animals on a daily basis. This is such a HUGE deal. Thank you Jessica Wallace for everything you helped me with. Thank you ARF!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This was the most amazing place I've been to in so long!! I am a disabled veteran so money is tight I was so happy when my va rep told me about this place! On Wednesdays they help out the veteran community by offering us free help for our furry little family members!! Yes I said FREE!!! That is free shots and spay and neuter and flea and tick and heart worm prevention also the check up and all other concerns were addressed while I was while I was there too!! I don't know what else could have been better really!!!??!!
They were so incredibly nice too! they spent an hour with us and made sure to answer all my questions as well. I have 2 dogs and they offer all this to both my puppers!! I am so amazed and so thankful like for real I know I have said it a million times over now but thank you guys so very very much and I have told so many people to go to you and that you guys are wonderful brilliant and just super awesome all around!!!!
This is the East Bay's premiere place to adopt a puppy or kitten / dog or cat from a professionally run nonprofit organization committed to animal rescue and seeking the best match of the pet to the new home. ARF's facility is clean, spacious and bright and you will be assisted by the well trained staff who can advise you about your pet choice. Highly recommended.
All reception staff are very helpful. Dr D’Angelo is very attentive, helpful and loving towards pets. Every time we were seen by Dr D’Angelo, she never spared efforts to help my pets and always treated us wonderfully!
We love ARF.
We appreciate everything you have done and are doing for us!
We got our dog Leto, August of 2021. He’s amazing! He’s been with us in many adventures. Good place to home fur babies
this place is absolutely amazing and this is what a lot of other shelters need to learn from. i loved how modern this shelter is from the building to the website. all the animals and staff here are amazing!
I walked in with my roommate and we were looking at 2 different dogs and wanted to met them, however they were closing in 10 minutes and I get that it’s difficult to adopt a dog in that amount of time but I feel like saying that causes a dog to not have a home. Cause now my roomie and I are going to look at other dogs at other shelters. But that’s not the only reason why we don’t want to go back the lady who we asked to see the dogs was hella judging us looking us up and down asking how old we were. And if we live alone like yes we do and we wouldn’t come in if we weren’t old enough. We’re both caregiver for people with disabilities. But don’t judge a person by their cover. It just killed our moods. I know we look young but we’re not that young.
As a retired Veteran it's difficult to make ends meet. By chance came across their post on how ARF offers Veterans care for our furry family members. They graciously spayed one of my dogs, waiting on the appointment for the next one. …
We went in to check on about giving donations and found our youngest! Staff was super nice definitely were trying to find perfect and good homes.
We were interested in one cat but already had 2 others however she was sure to …
